Kaafila: a unique tale

Ammtoge Mann's film Kaafila or caravan of people is a touching, heart-rending story of the lunatic rush of not-so-wealthy Third World people opting to leave their motherland in search of utopian dreams of a better life abroad in developed countries. These people put their jobs, families and even lives at stake to reach their desired destination even when they can be better off in their own country without all the hardship and suffering. The movie strives to create a mass awareness of the "dark side of illegal immigration. The film explores uncharted waters for the first time ever," says Mann.

There aint no big difference between legal immigration and illegal immigration. The white man harasses them both equally well. It does take courage to put everything - job, life and family at stake in the attempt to find a better life abroad. It takes even more cowardice to shun homeland, when it has treated you so well from the time you are born, in the assumption that there aint no future at home.
